Major Update to Dropbox Sign for Procore

What’s New in Dropbox Sign for Procore – December Release: New features, stronger security controls, and improved performance!

On December 15, Shake IT deployed a new release of the Dropbox Sign for Procore connector, delivering meaningful new functionality, enhanced security controls, and important performance and stability improvements.

This release continues our focus on making eSignature workflows in Procore faster, more reliable, and better aligned with real-world construction contract processes at an affordable price.

Below is a summary of what’s new.

New Feature: Commitment Invoice (Requisition) Support

The Dropbox Sign for Procore connector now supports Commitment Invoices (Requisitions).

This means teams can:

  • Send commitment invoices for signature directly from Procore

  • Maintain a consistent approval and signing workflow across commitments, contracts, and now invoices

  • Reduce delays and manual follow-ups during the payment approval process

This enhancement closes a key workflow gap for finance teams, project managers, and contract administrators.

Enhanced Security Settings & Permissions

We’ve added new Security Settings configuration options that more closely align with native Dropbox Sign permissions.

Admins now have greater control to:

  • Enable or disable who can cancel a signature request

  • Enable or disable who can download signed documents

  • Enable or disable who can send reminders to signers

These controls help organizations enforce internal governance policies while maintaining flexibility for project teams.

Improved Signature Count Accuracy

Signature usage tracking has been improved to ensure more accurate signature counts.

This update provides:

  • Clearer visibility into actual usage

  • Better alignment with subscription tiers

  • Increased confidence for administrators monitoring adoption and volume

Unlink Dropbox Sign Accounts from Procore Users

Procore administrators can now unlink a Dropbox Sign account associated with a Procore user.

This is especially useful for:

  • User role changes

  • Employee offboarding

  • Resolving account conflicts or reassignments

It gives admins more control without requiring backend intervention.

Performance Improvements: Faster File Generation

We’ve implemented file generation efficiency improvements, resulting in:

  • Faster document preparation

  • Reduced wait times before signature requests are sent

  • A smoother overall user experience

These optimizations are particularly noticeable on larger documents and high-volume projects.

Stability & Reliability Enhancements

This release also includes multiple stability fixes, including:

  • Improved error handling

  • Clearer, more actionable UI messages when something goes wrong

  • Overall reliability improvements across the signing workflow

The goal: fewer interruptions and faster resolution when issues do occur.

What This Means for Procore Users

With this release, Dropbox Sign for Procore delivers:

  • Broader document coverage (now including requisitions)

  • Stronger security and admin controls

  • Better visibility into usage

  • Faster, more reliable performance

All without leaving Procore.
